Kaena Point Hawaii Poster

Kaena Point Hawaii Poster

Burnsland
Continuing in the Posters series, here is a travel poster for Kaʻena Point State Park on the island of Oʻahu in Hawaiʻi. If this location looks a little familiar, the photo that the poster is based on was shared in a recent Adventures by Burnsland post. A few days after that post, I was looking for something to draw. I had loved the photo, so I decided to make a poster version of it, using the photo as a rough guide.
Oahu Travel Poster

Oahu Travel Poster

Burnsland
A travel poster for the island of Oʻahu in Hawaiʻi is a reminder of our June 2023 Hawaiʻi trip. When we go places, I sometimes think it would be cool to have a travel poster from the places that we go. There probably already are plenty of travel posters for those places, but not like I would envision them. So I thought I would create this one for Oʻhau.
Hawaii 2023 Logo Patch

Hawaii 2023 Logo Patch

Burnsland
The logo for our 30th anniversary 2023 Hawaiʻi trip is an adventure patch. All that stitching took a lot of time! Well, sort of. Every time we go on a major trip (the definition of which changes over time), I like to come up with a logo for that trip. I then use that logo as an anchor for the “home base” website page about the trip, which hopefully makes that trip page easy to find.
Evening Clouds Over the Waves

Evening Clouds Over the Waves

Burnsland
Evening clouds hover over the waves rolling onto the shore in this beach scene in the latest Art by Burnsland. Imagine yourself standing on a cliff high above the waves down below, with a beautiful sunset sky above it all. The sunset colors of the clouds reflect in the water below. That was the mood I was trying to capture in this painting. This painting is a follow-up of sorts to another recent art piece.

Hawaiʻi Shore from Steve's Sketchbook

Burnsland
Walking along a shore in Hawaiʻi - the latest artwork from Steve’s Sketchbook. You may remember that Laura and I visited the island of Kauaʻi in Hawaiʻi for our 25th wedding anniversary a few years ago. That trip made quite an impression on me because the landscapes there were very different from what we have here at home. On that Hawaiʻi trip, I took lots and lots of photos, as you might guess.

Mobius the Surfing Goat

Catch a Wave Mobius the Goat enjoys the sun while checking out the waves at Anahola Beach on the island of Kauaʻi in Hawaiʻi. He might go out surfing and catch a wave later on, or he might just enjoy having his hooves in the water. How does a goat go surfing and hang ten with only two hooves and no toes, anyway? Devoted Burnsland readers know of my love for photography.
