Santa Claus Is on Vacation
After a busy but successful Christmas season, Santa Claus takes a vacation to get away from it all. For his getaway, Santa likes go to this tropical island. There are no elves asking him questions, no toys to review, no reindeer to feed. And no snow. Santa was so exhausted when he arrived that he did not even bother taking off his gloves.
Of course, it will be a short vacation, because there is always Santa work to do. So Santa Claus will be back at the North Pole in no time at all, making the early preparations for the next Christmas season. But everyone deserves a little break, especially Santa Claus!
Just Relax
Time to relax and slow down is often a blessing. In fact, I also mentioned this in the most recent Adventures by Burnsland post, too. Laura and I have mentioned it in our conversations on several occasions. So I guess that is a theme for us right now.
Laura and I did talk the other day about how the winter season forces us to slow down some. The cold temperatures keep us inside, and the early sunsets help us to slow down earlier in the day. Some complain about the winter, but I see it as a blessing.
If you are getting all kinds of signs to relax and slow down, do not ignore them. They might be there for a reason.
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven. - Ecclesiastes 3:1 ESV
About the Artwork
I started drawing this back before Christmas, thinking about how busy we had been. But it took me until the more relaxed days after Christmas to get it finished. Unfortunately, I did not get to go to a tropical island to relax, but our home is just fine.
This was drawn on an iPad with an Apple Pencil using the Adobe Fresco app.
