Mobius the Goat Returns

Mobius the Goat Returns

After being away for more than a year, Mobius the Goat returns.

You may remember Mobius the Goat from his earlier appearances here. When I asked him, Mobius would not say where he has been all this time, but it looks like he has spent some time at the beach.

He would also not comment on whether he has had some “work done” since the last time we saw him. I am guessing that he has. But that is his business and not mine.

Do What Is Fun

I was trying to think of something to draw the other day, and I decided to revisit Mobius. I am not really sure why I stopped drawing him. For a while, he was the “mascot” of Burnsland, and then I switched to Cartoon Steve as a better representation of the site. I did not think at the time that making that change would give Mobius the boot, but apparently it did, for a while. But it was fun to pick him back up again and make a few changes along the way.

Of course, all of the art I post here is for fun, because it is just what I want to do and not what anyone else is making me do. So why not make it fun?

Maybe you can’t always do what is fun for you. There are such things as work and other responsibilities, after all. But take some time to find the fun things, too.

Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” - Hebrews 13:5

About the Artwork

I made one change that might not be so obvious. I drew this at a lower resolution than what I had been doing. The Procreate app limits how many layers you can have based on the size of the drawing and the memory of your iPad, and I was routinely running out of layers. So I drew this artwork at the equivalent of 8.5" x 11" at 300 dpi, instead of 10" x 15". I have not yet had any reason to print one of these drawings, and I resize them all down for website resolution, so for what I am doing right now, this size is fine.

Also, I am in a cloud rut. I have used the same cloud style three times now. But I like it, so is it necessary to change? Maybe, maybe not.
