Evening clouds hover over the waves rolling onto the shore in this beach scene in the latest Art by Burnsland. Imagine yourself standing on a cliff high above the waves down below, with a beautiful sunset sky above it all. The sunset colors of the clouds reflect in the water below. That was the mood I was trying to capture in this painting. This painting is a follow-up of sorts to another recent art piece.
An Artistic View Ocean waves roll in as light clouds fill the sky at sunset in this newest digital painting. Whenever we are at the beach, I always enjoy watching the ocean waves. They are in constant motion, always rolling, some big, some small. Sometimes there is a break between waves, but the water is still moving. So what better way to capture those waves than with a still painting?
Catch a Wave Mobius the Goat enjoys the sun while checking out the waves at Anahola Beach on the island of Kauaʻi in Hawaiʻi. He might go out surfing and catch a wave later on, or he might just enjoy having his hooves in the water. How does a goat go surfing and hang ten with only two hooves and no toes, anyway? Devoted Burnsland readers know of my love for photography.
All Alone A hut and two palm trees fill an otherwise deserted island in this latest entry from Steve’s Sketchbook. I have often thought it would be fun to be on a deserted island, at least for a little while. And I would enjoy it even more if Laura were there with me. Who says that I have to be alone on a deserted island? The island would still be considered deserted if two of us lived there, right?
A Nice Day at the Beach A nice beach scene is the latest entry in Steve’s Sketchbook. Wouldn’t you like to be somewhere like that? I know I would! Yes, this latest sketch ended up looking more like a painting than a sketch. If you are curious, it did start out as more of a sketch, but then I decided that I liked this painting look better, so I used the sketch as a guide for the painting.
