Birthday Tiki for 2024

The Birthday Tiki has come around once again, because someone has a birthday

The Birthday Tiki has come around once again, because someone has a birthday. Hint: it is me. And you probably won’t be able to guess which birthday this is. Or maybe you can.

I am a little jealous of the Birthday Tiki, because he is in my favorite place, which is a nice, warm beach. Meanwhile, I am back here at home, although the weather forecast does look to be relatively pleasant, which is a good thing after all the rain we have had this month and the snow from last month.

And the Birthday Tiki was nice enough to bring me a piece of cake, too. How considerate of him!

Those following along here regularly know that there was a Tiki of the Month series. But the last one of those appeared back in December. It is still yet to be determined whether the series has ended for good or if it is just taking a long break. Only time will tell. Either way, it was nice to see the Birthday Tiki drop in for a visit!

Feeling Special

We all like to feel special. And that is easy on special days.

Birthdays are nice. Loved ones give you presents and cake and celebrate with you, which is great. And if Facebook knows your birthday, you get lots of birthday messages there. And texts, emails, and whatever else you might get.

Other holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving are good, too, because you can feel the love on those days.

But what about other days? Sometimes, it might be a struggle. So what can you do? You can make other people feel special, whoever that might be and however that might look. Send a random text message or email to let someone know you are thinking about them. Say a kind word when someone might not be expecting it. Focus on others more than on yourself. Sooner or later, that will come back to you. You will feel special by making others feel special, and they will find a time to make you feel special, too.

Share the love on special days, and on other days, too.

My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. - 1 John 3:18

About the Artwork

Beach backgrounds have become somewhat regular around here, but I try to change them up instead of just doing the same thing over and over again. So this time, I threw in a little grass hut with a hammock beside it. Looks like it would be a great place to spend some time, doesn’t it?

I liked the texture on the sand that I came up with for this one. And I tried to make the watermark and signature look a little like they were written in the sand, too. AT least digital sand erases, unlike real sand that gets in places that you don’t want it to be.
