2024 Christmas Tree No. 3

The third Burnsland 2024 Christmas Tree looks a little different once again, but there is nothing wrong with that

Here is the third of the Burnsland 2024 Christmas Trees. This one looks a little different once again, but there is nothing wrong with that.

Once again, I was trying something different for the 2024 Christmas Trees. As with the previous tree, I wanted to do something that was not quite your normal Christmas Tree. This one has the shape of a traditional tree, and the ornaments and garland, but it is just a bit more artistic. Or something.

And don’t overthink the background too much. As I have mentioned before, I like textures, and that was just a texture that I came up with. Maybe I should have used some colors more associated with Christmas? But then why do we only think of red and green when we think of Christmas?

Different

There is nothing wrong with being different. This Christmas Tree is different from the others, and that is okay. And it is even more true of actual Christmas Trees in people’s homes that no two Christmas Trees have to look the same. Every tree expresses an individual taste.

People are different, too. Just make sure that you don’t choose not to love some people because of their differences. And as long as those differences are within God’s plan, then there is nothing wrong with those differences at all. We do not all have to like the same things or look the same way.

Do not stop loving people just because they are not like you. Instead, love everyone because of our differences.

Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. - 1 Peter 3:8 ESV

About the Artwork

As is true of everything when you are learning some new software, some of this was an experiment with the different brushes in Adobe Fresco. Still figuring out what all I can do with that one.

Fresco does have some differences from Procreate and Clip Studio Paint, in that those others have some functions that Fresco does not have. Some consider that a drawback, but I like to think of it as a challenge to figure out another way to do something. And do I really need to do the same thing every time anyway? Probably not.

As with the previous two Christmas Trees, this art was drawn using Adobe Fresco and an Apple Pencil on an iPad.
