2024 Christmas Tree No. 1
The first Christmas Tree for 2024 is a tree out in the snow all by itself. I am not sure who would decorate a tree outside away from everything like that, but someone did, bringing some Christmas cheer to the snowscape.
You might remember last year’s 2023 Christmas Tree Series, so I decided to do a 2024 Christmas Tree Series, too. Although I am not sure anything can top last year’s Christmas Tree Blueprint.
But still, it is fun to draw whatever Christmas tree might come to my mind, and this was what I thought of at this particular moment. After all, it isn’t a competition. It is just some art.
Christmas Love
Maybe whoever decorated that tree out there did so to spread some Christmas cheer and love. There is one spot on a road that we drive where, in past years at Christmas, someone has decorated a live tree there with solar-powered lights. Seeing that tree always makes me smile, even thought it is just a simple thing.
Maybe some people decorate their houses and yards to try to outdo their neighbors, but I would guess that even more people do it to spread some joy. That is what we do at our house. Our decorations are not seen by that many people, but they do bring us joy.
And the more decorations you see, the more you think of Christmas. And the main thing about Christmas1 is love, because God loved us enough to send Jesus, his son, into the world.
So by sharing Christmas, you are sharing love. Of course, we should also be more deliberate in loving one another, but every little bit counts!
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” - John 3:16-17
About the Artwork
As with the other recent art pieces, I drew this one in Adobe Fresco with an iPad and an Apple Pencil. Still learning as I go along, but for me the best way to learn new software is to just jump in and do it. Even if you sometimes figure out a better way to do it once you are finished.

Whenever Christmas actually is, which is not necessarily December 25, but that is another story for another time. ↩︎
